Amana Tool Introduces Unique InVectra™ Router Bits for Cutting and Trimming Metal Laminates
New InVectra™ bits tested and recommended by Formica® and ATI®
Farmingdale, N.Y. – May 19, 2009 – Amana Tool, manufacturers of industrial-quality carbide-tipped, solid carbide and replaceable carbide cutting tools, today introduced its Invectra™ router bits for cutting and trimming metal laminates. The innovative new bits are specially designed and tested by Formica® for trimming decorative metal laminates, such as Formica DecoMetal® and Advanced Technology Inc. (ATI®) materials. With Invectra router bits, kitchen fabricators, remodelers, cabinet makers and construction workers can perform any kind of cut and trim job in metal laminates using a table or hand-held router. The new series has been tested and recommended by Formica and ATI.
The cutting edge of each Invectra router bit is engineered from an Amana-exclusive carbide grade designed specifically for cutting both metal laminates and wood-based substrate materials. Amana’s exclusive micro-grain carbide delivers the highest quality of cut, maximum cutting efficiency and extended tool life. The router bits feature a special grinding angle that, when combined with the correct linear cutting speed, delivers superior cutting performance. To ensure the best cutting results, each bit is fitted with a steel bearing guide that enables users to trim laminate materials flush with the stubstrate.
“This one-of-a-kind line of router bits is further proof of our commitment to providing the most innovative tools for our users,” said Amana Tool technical director, Frank Misiti. “Invectra’s exclusive carbide grade yields superior results with each cut and helps make metal laminate projects less labor-intensive.”
Invectra router bits are available in two diameters, ¼” (item 51430) and ½” (item 51432). It is recommended that the ½” shank be run at reduced speeds for best results. Amana is currently offering special introductory pricing for the bits, with additional discounts for larger volumes. Prices start at $49.95 USD for the ¼” shank and $89.95 USD for the ½” shank.
