Tambour Door Project |
My wife was complaining about my stuff spread all over the counter top…. just about at that same moment, I was on the Amana web site and saw the new Tambour bit set with Lonnie Bird's bread box. I loved the look of the bread box and thought I could expand upon that for a desk top organizer. I used walnut and maple (for the drawers) and 4 coats of Sam Maloof’s poly and oil mix and 2 coats of the oil and wax mix for the finish. I just gave the “Gentleman’s Organizer” to my dad for his 80th birthday. Thanks for the inspiration. |
