No, this bit is better recommended for a CNC machine, router table or plunge router.

Wondering what the difference is between the 46259S bit and the 46259?
Then, looking at the specs on the 46259S, they seem to be identical to the 46257S, with the exception to the the shank size being a 1/2” rather than 3/8”. Could I use this bit with the Soss template 212IT without any issues?
Would a down shear cutting spiral bit produce a crisper routed corner edge then an up shear cutting action?

The 46259S was made for the Soss Template. It has an overall length that is ¼” longer than the 46259.
