Groove edges for T-moldings, splines or biscuits, and other purposes. Rout tongue-and-groove joinery. Slotting cutters are available with either 2-wing or 3-wing cutters. Each assembly includes a cutter, bearing for a 1/2" deep cut, and either a 1/4"-, 3/8"-, or 1/2"-shank arbor. Use in a handheld or table-mounted router. All assemblies include cutter, arbor and ball bearing.

This will allow me to make hidden structural parts for a set of antique dining chairs.
I believe the 53408-1 Slotting Cutter with 1/2" Arbor is the correct bit, what is the correct bearing for my needs?

The only bearings to achieve different depths that are available to fit this tool are the following: ½”(47708), 3/8”(47728), 5/16”(47763) or ¼”(47727).
