Aluminum Cutterhead with 40mm Knives

Shaper cutterheads with interchangeable knives are an economical way to assemble a wide assortment of profiles. In fact, I keep several pairs of knife blanks on hand for custom profiles. I take the knives, cutterhead, and a full-scale drawing to the local sharpening shop and they grind the profile. However, it is important to use only knives for that cutterhead. The cutting geometry, mechanical interlock and knife width and length are designed specifically for that cutterhead.
