The 2+6 compression spiral platinum-coated bits are designed for:
- Melamine and laminated boards
- Veneered plywood
- MDF/HDF with decorative surface
- Laminated hardwood panels
They excel at tear-out-free cuts on top and bottom edges, especially on decorative or finished surfaces.
Platinum coating is a high end PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating that may use platinum group metals that offer:

- Low Friction (Lubricity)
- Anti-Corrosion
- Wear Resistance
