Amana Tool Announces Exclusive Series of Miniature Bearing Router Bits Available in Various Profiles
New innovative series features 3/16” diameter ball bearing guides that eliminate burnout in sign-making, lettering and other delicate routing projects
Farmingdale, N.Y. – July 21, 2009 – Amana Tool, manufacturers of industrial-quality carbide-tipped, solid carbide and replacement carbide cutting tools, today announced the launch of a series of miniature bearing router bits. Each Amana Tool exclusive bit features a 3/16” diameter ball bearing guide that is much smaller than other ball bearing router bits on the market, making the bits ideal for delicate projects such as sign-making, building musical instruments, routing letter edges, flush trimming tight corners and high production projects. The miniature bearing router bits can be used on wood and plastics and come in a variety of profiles including round over, chamfer, flush, bevel trim and rabbet.
Amana Tool’s miniature bearing router bits are uniquely designed with a ball bearing at the bottom end of the bit, eliminating burnout caused by brass pin-piloted bits. The cutting edge of each router bit is engineered from an Amana-exclusive carbide grade designed to deliver the highest quality of cut, maximum cutting efficiency prolonged tool life. The bits can fit into tight spaces and sharp corners where a larger diameter bearing cannot, making it easier for users to work on finely detailed work pieces that have intricate contours, tight confines and narrow openings. The series’ innovative design also delivers a consistent edge that eliminates hand sanding or filing, thus saving users time and labor.
“With our new industry-exclusive router bits, hobbyists and professionals alike can achieve superior results on intricate designs without the worry of burn marks on the materials or tedious hand sanding,” said Amana Tool technical director, Frank Misiti. “By reducing the size of the ball bearing, we’ve made it easier for users to achieve the tight tolerances many craft and industrial projects require.”
The miniature bearing piloted router bits start at $18.90 USD for a 3/8” miniature flush trim bit (item #MR0102). To locate an authorized Amana Tool distributor nearest you or request a catalog, visit www.amanatool.com.
